Toby had a birthday, I had a birthday. My sister's husband is playing baseball in California on an independent league. We, or should I say, Toby, is starting to put in a backyard for us. Huge job. My parents came out to visit for my birthday. We finished home school and are on summer break!!
And I tore my ACL playing soccer, thus I have not had time to blog. But now I do, since I had surgery on Friday and am in bed. I am facing 6 - 12 months of physical therapy before I can even think about playing soccer again.
And I went cold turkey with weaning Ayla from nursing, so I am sore in more places than one. I was going to get medications for my leg pain that would allow me to keep nursing her, but we would like to become pregnant again real soon and I will be on meds again for that, so I decided to take the plunge. It has actually gone great so far. Toby's parents are here as a great distraction and I am in bed, so Sienna and Toby have been getting her down for naps and bedtime.
I can't think about it too much. I have missed her. Even though we only nursed 2-3 times a day, it is guaranteed snuggle time together. I only hope, once things are back to normal that it is not too hard on her. Maybe God will help her to just forget.
Toby, his parents and my kids have been taking good care of me. The one thing I don't have is the book I was totally into. I left it at the hospital. Toby put it on hold for me at the library and I hope I get it soon. It was a David Baldacci book called The Winner. I have never read him before, but the plot was really good. So, sleep, tv and the internet have been my past times when no one is around.
