Yup, we are going to be on tv. Our family was filmed for a commercial last Thursday. The commercial is for a local hospital and they needed a newborn for the commercial. A friend of ours who does work for a talent agency here called to see if Ayla would be available. And then she called back to see if the whole family would be available. Toby took half a day off and our portion of the commercial was shot at our house and another portion with different people was shot on our front porch. The neighbors were sure wondering what was going on as all these vehicles and cameras and cords showed up. It was so fun and very easy, except the getting ready part. We each needed 4-6 outfits per person ironed and hung on hangers. That is a lot of clothes to iron for a family of five! Thankfully my mom was here and she helped me iron and get the house ready. We finished right before the crew showed up to start getting ready!!
They should be sending me a copy of the commercial in a couple of weeks via the computer. Hopefully I can email it to anyone interested as it will only be aired locally since it is advertisement for our hospital here. But we will be paid for an hour and a half (as Toby told his boss) "more than he makes in a week at work!"
