An Update...

I cannot believe Ayla is 4 weeks old today!  That went fast!

 

We are so in love with Ayla Jane!  She is just so adorable, especially when you hold her and she looks right into your eyes and studies you.  Or she is fussin' and I pick her up and she just is instantly calmed down when she knows she is in my arms again!  And I love our nursing times together.  That is truly a gift from above to me, watching her fall asleep in my arms or lay and stare up at me with her big eyes.

 

After she was born, my parents stayed a few days to help us out.  And then they took our two older girls for a few days back home with them.  Toby and I got to spend some time together with Ayla.  It was very special to us.  We were emotional that first night together just the three of us, in awe of God's plan in bringing Ayla to us and just looking at how perfect she is!

 

Then Toby's mom, dad and sister came and helped out.  I had a total of two weeks of help after Ayla was born.  How blessed we are with such supportive family.  Laundry, meals, watching our girls, staining our fence....Thank you family!  Not to mention the meals from friends that were brought over.

 

Oh, and it worked out that my best friend from high school, Jessica, got to come and visit me and meet Ayla.  She was pivotal in God's plan for this adoption!
